Obituary for Arleane Evelyn Erickson

Arleane Evelyn  Erickson
Arleane Evelyn (Johnson) Erickson was born in Nelson, WI on 11/16/1927 to Johnnie and Gertrude Johnson. She was the oldest of eight children. She moved to Minneapolis in 1947 in search of employment, where she found a job at Libby's cafe as well as her future husband, Rodney Erickson. They were married in 1950 and moved to Richfield, where they had two sons.

Arleane worked at Lund's in Richfield for over thirty years, continuing to work after the passing of her beloved Rodney in 1989. She has lived in Eden Prairie, Chanhassen and finally, Sunrise in Minnetonka where she was close to family.

She leaves behind her sons, Scott (Carol) and Chris (Leslie); granddaughters, Amy Erickson (fiancé David Archer), Ashley (Jesse) Weissner, Maggie (Alex) Jones, Kate Erickson; sisters, Marilyn (Jerry) Rud, Janis (Bill) Gibson; brother, Gerald (Yvonne) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Pauline and Charlene Johnson. Arleane is also preceded in death by, parents, Johnnie & Gertrude Johnson; step-mother, Margaret Johnson; sister, Glenis Hentges; brothers, Raymond and Ronald Johnson, Willard Mathis.

Funeral service Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Lutheran Church, 7045 Lyndale Ave. So. Richfield. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Saturday 1 hour prior to service only.

Memorials preferred to American Heart Association or Alzheimer’s Association.
