Arthur Gilbert  Haugen
Arthur Haugen, died peacefully at the age of 96. Preceded in death by wife, Patti and daughter, Eloise Brown. He is survived by his sons, Charlie (Phyliss), Chris (Mary); grandchildren, Natalie, Gina, Samantha, Michael, LeeAnne, Frank and Cody; brother, Duane; and niece, Debbie. Art grew up in Northfield, MN. He survived the Depression and went on to serve in the 34th Division 135th Infantry of the U.S. Army during WWII, where he fought in battles in Africa and Italy. After the war, he married his high school sweetheart, Patti Swanson. They were married for 67 years. Art worked for IBM, retiring in 1981. He and Patti lived in Bella Vista, AR for 33 years. Art moved back to MN in 2014. A brief service will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. Meet in Assembly Lane #5 at 12:15 p.m.
