Obituary for Dolores Mary Trow (Gleason)

Dolores (Laurie) Mary Trow passed away peacefully on June 4, at the age of 94 surrounded by her family. Laurie was known for her love of family, her work as president of St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary and her wide array of friends that she stayed close to her entire life. She is survived by children, Kathleen (David), Tim (Lynda), RoseMary (Lynn), Patrick, John (Janet), Suzanne (Paul), Michael, Mollie (John), Bill (Lynn), Mary (Jorge) and David (Heidi); 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Laurie is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, William H.Trow M.D.; son, Joseph; grandson, Logan Moody.
Laurie was born in Minneapolis on September 15, 1923 to Lester and Helen Gleason. The oldest of four children she attended the University of Minnesota and was a graduate of Minnesota School of Business. On September 14, 1946 she married William Trow. Coming from what she considered a small family, Laurie’s goal was to have 12 children. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were a legacy of love and a perpetual source of pride to her.
Laurie led a compassionate life and strongly supported her favorite causes including three years as President of St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary followed by many years as an Associate of St. Mary’s Health Clinics. She led a full social life which included 50 years of bridge club and in recent years exercising with Silver Sneakers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 12 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at The Church of St. Patrick, 6820 St. Patrick’s Lane, Edina, MN.

In lieu of flowers Laurie would appreciate donations to St. Mary’s Health Clinics or Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life.
