Jean Marie Kalkes (nee Keller) age 70 of New Brighton. Jean's beautiful soul peacefully joined heaven on Friday, April 13, 2018 after a six-year duel with ovarian cancer. Her bright spirit lives on through her children, Jayna (Lee) Gunderson, James A. (Stephanie) and Jason (Lisa); grandchildren, Avery, Everett and Quinn; siblings, Larry (Janis), Susan (Rick), Kris (Bill) and their families. Jean was a 1965 graduate of Alexander Ramsey High School. Her generous heart touched the lives of many as a Cosmetology Instructor at St. Paul College, hairdresser and beloved friend. Funeral service 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 20th at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (Sanctuary), 4537 3rd Ave. S. Mpls. with visitation beginning at 9:30. In lieu of flowers, Jean requested donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. https://www.stjude.org/
