Audrey Virgene Nelsen, age 93 of Minneapolis, MN passed away on 1/23/2018. Preceded in death by beloved husband, Wayne Nelsen. Survived by son, Jeff of Richfield, MN and her fur grand-kid, Mack. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Paulette Peterson, Pam Loerzel, Dave Hackett and Gary Fields, and best friend, Susan Lowe. Audrey was born and grew up in Evan, MN and graduated from Sleepy Eye High School. She moved to Minneapolis where she met Wayne. They were married in 1950. Their son, Jeff was born in 1956. Audrey was a long-time employee of IDS/Ameriprise and retired in 1988. She loved flowers, was an avid gardener and had an endless recipe collection. She enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with friends, especially her dear friend, Sue. Audrey spent her final years at Mt. Olivet Careview Home.
