Merrick, Dorothy Louise Lane

Age 93, of Roseville, formerly of Bloomington. Preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband Jack, her beloved son John. Mom/Nana is greatly loved and sadly missed by her daughters Susan Wiik (John), Patricia Kline (Gregg) and Barbara Merrick (Tom Eng);grandchildren Katherine Barrett Wiik (Norman), Julia Stiles, Kristen Wiik Cruden (Seth Cruden), Lindsey Rutledge (David Lavery), Amy Sawyer(Garrett), Beth Dennis (Kevin Latman), Kim Merrick, Anthony Kline, Michael Dennis;also great grandchildren Aubrey, Logan, Gavin, Emma, Olivia, Hanna, Liam, Fiona, Nolan and Jack. For 59 years Dorothy was a devout parishioner and volunteer at Nativity of Mary Church. She was also a proud graduate of John Marshall High School in Mpls. and a loyal long time employee of J. C. Penney Co. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 5, 2018 10 AM at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, 9900 Lyndale Ave, Bloomington. Visitation Thursday, January 4 from 5-8 PM at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 9947 Lyndale Ave S, Bloomington. Memorials preferred to Nativity of Mary School or the American Cancer Society.
