Mark Ellis  McCartan
Mark Ellis McCartan, age 89, of Bloomington passed peacefully December 19, 2017. Preceded in death by siblings George, Mary Rose, Peg, and Catherine. Survived by his wife, Katie, of 59 years; children, Conn (Pam), Mike, Pat, Kevin, Murray (Carol), and Brian (Beth); and seven grandchildren. He was a true Irishman through and through. On 12 trips to the Emerald Isle, he facilitated his passion for Family Genealogy, Irish History, and Irish Wolfhounds. Mark was a Veteran of the Army and dedicated educator of the Edina Public School District for over 30 years. Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday December 30th, Pax Christi Catholic Church, 12100 Pioneer Trial, Eden Prairie. Visitation Friday December 29th from 4-7 p.m. and one hour prior to the memorial mass at church only. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Park Nicollet Foundation-Hospice or the NF Team Foundation.
