Ralph Edward  Peterson
Ralph E. Peterson born July 6, 1924 in Isanti, Minnesota and died November 6, 2017 in Bloomington, Minnesota of natural causes.
Ralph is survived by his, daughter, Jenyne (Howard) Burpee; son, Daniel Peterson (Deb); grandchildren, Ashlee Peterson, Amber (Adrian) Peterson, Howard Burpee IV, Sara (Chad) and Nick; sister, Helen Peterson Parson. Ralph, who was one of 10 siblings and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1942. He enlisted in the Navy in 1943, and served as a machinist mate on an aircraft rescue boat in various locations around the US until his honorable discharge in 1946.
Ralph was preceded in death by his wife 57 years, Phyllis. Ralph and Phyllis met at a USO dance in 1945, when Ralph was posted at a Chesapeake Bay Naval Air Station, and Phyllis was contributing to the WWII effort by working for the FBI in Washington, DC.
They married in 1950 and soon moved to Bloomington, MN, where Ralph built a house with his own hands. Ralph and Phyllis lived in their Bloomington house for the rest of their lives, where they raised their children.
Funeral service Tuesday 11:30 a.m. at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 9947 Lyndale Ave. So. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 1 hour prior to service.
